This is a wonderful British privately purchased "Manstopper" Flintlock pistol, marked SMITH on the lock plate, and LONDON on the top of the barrel. It is in the very large . 75" bore, the same size as the standard British Muskets of the line in the 18th and early 19th centuries. This meant that the soldier did not have to carry additional ammunition, and also meant that it would pack an incredible punch. We removed
