Original French Modèle 1890 Gendarmerie Carbine Cruciform Épée Bayonet with Steel Scabbard Japanese Marines Year of Manufacture: circa 1808Original Item: Only One Available. This is a very nice example of a French cruciform pe bayonet, designed for the Mannlicher Berthier Modle 1890 Gendarmerie Carbine. This rifle saw much service in French Indochina and other colonial areas. The bayonet has a 20 1 2 inch blade, and an overall length of about 25 inches. There is an old label on the solid nickel grip, indicating that is a "French 1890 Gendarmerie Bayonet". The earlier M1886 bayonet had
