My voyage with stress started after i lost my father to covid-19 battle. I, after myself keeping in denial, kept on consuming anti stress medicines with a hope to end this voyage with a quest of truth in my mind, which was indeed clouded with emotions of anger and bereavement. The life went on for two years and after suffering at the hands of my own emotions, i encountered Preksha Meditation, although being a “Terapanthi Jain”, this word (Preksha Dhyan) wasn’t new to me but the situation wherein i found out about this was certainly peculiar. Shri KC Jain sir’s short lecture at ASK, Chhatrapur about Preksha dhyan and those 7 days residential camp changed the perspective of my life, particularly towards handling of human emotions which are “Sanyog and Viyog”. To cut short the story, now its been one year since i have been practicing preskha meditation intermittently and upon Sir’s strict instructions with the help of “Preksha Meditation App”, the intermittently now has become regularly ; I have experienced marvelous changes in my life. Stress which used to be synonymous with my work routine has completely been detracked and those small yet powerful impulses of irrestibile anger, have vanished throughout. Sir has further asked me to channelize the energy transformed through Preksha Dhyan , at the parts of body which we think needs to be repaired & rehauled. I indeed did that, since i was also suffering from lower back ache from couple of months, i centered my focus towards my lumbar spine for few days while doing box breathing, and after 10 days i can claim that my pain is gone and it feels as if i never had pain in that region. I am claiming this with full responsibility because i being a doctor myself, i can very well say that lower back aches are so annoying that they can never be managed without medicines. So that was my quest of truth with Preksha meditation and i hope you will also find out yours, once you start to practice. Remember, stress and joy dwells together but they need to balanced, you can not wipe one at the cost of other. Preksha meditation helps you to balance these two emotions, which is the law of nature and is also the basic tenet of Jain philosophy.
